Origin of leprechauns
Leprechaun stories originated from Ireland. It is felt that leprechauns are a mix of evil spirits and bad fairies. Some stories say that the leprechauns are the Irish son god named Lug. It is pronounced luck over here. That is why Americans think of good luck when they think of leprechauns.

What do bad fairies have to do with little green people? (i didnt feel like spelling it out.) but that was really cool how u said they are the son of an Irish god. I had no idea there were Irish gods!
